Graduate students

Graduate students are entitled to student employment , U.S. federal loans if you are a U.S. citizen, and graduate assistantships. Students can apply for an assistantship at their academic school. Graduate assistantship is based on academic performance and it covers a portion of tuition fees in exchange for academic work.

School of Arts and Sciences:

Deferred payment:
If you have a graduate assistantship and would like to benefit from the deferred payment online, you must confirm with your School that your name was sent to the Business Office to ensure that the amount of assistantship will be included in the deferred payment amount.

Please note that:
A $50 deferred payment fee will be charged to all students who do not have financial aid, graduate assistantship or who are not sponsored by a third party.

Pharm.D. students

Students enrolled in the PharmD program may benefit from any of the following forms of aid:

  • Grants: A certain percentage of a student’s tuition may be covered by a grant based on financial need.
  • Bank loans: Agreements with certain banks allow Pharm.D students to benefit from interest-free loans during their tenure at LAU. The interest amount will be borne by the university until the students’ exit date, after which the interest will have to be covered by the students themselves.

School of Medicine Students

Students enrolled in the School of Medicine may benefit from any of the following forms of aid:

  • Merit Scholarships: For each entering class merit scholarships are granted to the top applicants based on a defined academic criterion and ranging between 25 to 100%.
  • Grants: A certain percentage of a student’s tuition may be covered by a grant based on financial need.
  • Bank loans: Agreements with certain banks allow School of Medicine students to benefit from interest-free loans during their tenure at LAU. The interest amount will be borne by the university until the students’ exit date, after which the interest will have to be covered by the students themselves.
